TOC analysis in swimming pool water with the acquray® TOC

Organic contamination can significantly affect swimming pool water quality, making regular monitoring essential. Traditionally, water quality has been evaluated using the permanganate index; however, this method can be influenced by various interferences, including halogens.

For this reason, many laboratories now measure Total Organic Carbon (TOC) as an alternative indicator of organic contamination in pool water. TOC analysis is widely preferred because it is fast, simple, and fully automated.

This Application Note demonstrates the suitability of the acquray® TOC analyzer for TOC determination in swimming pool water.
