Elementar UK courses are designed to meet the particular needs of our customers. New and inexperienced operators will benefit from our fixed schedule introductory courses which provide an excellent foundation. With experienced operators in mind, we offer a bespoke applications consultancy with our resident stable isotope scientists or maintenance training from an experienced engineer.

Overview: Generic use of GC-IRMS techniques for carbon and hydrogen compound specific isotope analysis.
Duration: Three days (Monday-Wednesday)
Modules taught: System physical overview, GC-IRMS set-up, configuration and tuning for optimum performance, developing analysis routines, compilation of different sample types, instrument calibration and data evaluation, performance monitoring, maintenance, and basic trouble shooting.
Overview: Will cover the generic use of GC-IRMS techniques for nitrogen and/or oxygen isotope analysis.
Duration: Two days (Thursday - Friday)
Modules Taught: modifying instrument configuration, system optimisation, running samples and standards as required
Fixed schedule factory training courses are available on TraceGas, MultiFlow and LiquiFace inlets.
Dual Inlet IRMS training is also available, including AquaPrep, MultiCarb and MultiPrep systems.

The introductory and extended courses will follow a modular structure, including classroom lectures and practical laboratory training, ideal for customers who are new to IRMS and have limited experience of the technique.
3 day introductory training courses include 4 nights accommodation (with breakfast), local travel to/from the hotel and buffet lunch. 5 day extended training courses will include an additional 2 nights accommodation. Discounts are available for early bird bookings, groups, students and multiple course bookings. Hard copies of training materials will be provided. Training courses will be delivered in English.
