New trees for the city of Langenselbold

Elementar supports the campaign "1.000 neue Bäume für Selbold" (1.000 new trees for the city of Langenselbold) of the organization Junge Union Langenselbold with a donation of 107 trees: for each employee of the company a new tree is planted in Langenselbold, the location of Elementar's head office.

The initiators of the campaign have set themselves the goal of planting a total of 1,000 new trees on the Buchberg, a 200 m high mountain in the area of Langenselbold to support local climate and environmental protection. Land that has been damaged by drought and wind will be reforested with the help of tree donations and the support of the city of Langenselbold. With the donation from Elementar, the milestone of 750 trees could now be exceeded.

As a manufacturer of analysis systems for climate and environmental research, Elementar attaches particular importance to sustainability, as well as to its local commitment to the company's location. The tree planting campaign will in future sequester around 15 tonnes of CO2 per year at the Langenselbold site - a sustainable contribution to local climate protection. The Turkish hazel, which is particularly drought-resistant and resistant to bark beetles, was selected as a future-proof tree variety for afforestation. The planting of the trees is expected to take place at the end of September in cooperation with HessenForst on the Buchberg.
