Intuitive operation via touch display
For an optimal process, ferro.lyte® can be operated via the specially developed lyticsOS® software. The user interface is designed for mobile use. The focus here is on fast navigation: All functions can be accessed in just a few steps. The user is guided through measurement and data management via defined workflows. The touch display is particularly bright thanks to optical bonding technology and can also be read easily outdoors at any time.
Everything in its Place - the all-in-one concept
In the mobile use of optical emission spectrometers, mobility, as well as safe transport from one measuring point to the next, is important. The all-in-one concept therefore combines compact design with functional elements. The hand probe of the ferro.lyte® can be placed in an extra holder, the hybrid cable can be wound up securely on the analyzer, and the inert gas cylinder can be attached firmly to the instrument. This minimizes the risk of accidents when switching to another place or contamination of the measuring head. With a total weight of only 16 kg, it can be carried effortlessly - even in hard-to-reach places.
Highly flexible thanks to hybrid cable
The supply cable is often the weak point of mobile OES’. Heavy mechanical stress can lead to failures with spiral cables. Therefore, ferro.lyte® was developed with an exclusive hybrid cable. The light guide, gas line, and power supply are fixed in position and stranded which prevents them from chafing against each other. This maximizes availability and minimizes repair costs.
Smart energy management
ferro.lyte® can be used in mains and battery operation. Thanks to intelligent battery management, up to 500 measurements are possible with one charge – so the analyzer can be used for a complete shift without having to connect it to the power. When the charge level is low, the user is informed – a shutdown due to low charge is performed safely and without data loss.
Better detection limits with CONLYTE®
Measuring light elements, such as nitrogen, carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, or boron, is challenging for mobile analyzers. The patented CONLYTE® technology increases analytical performance and significantly improves detection limits. This is made possible by using an extended wavelength range and complete isolation of the measurement from the surrounding atmospheric air.
Less maintenance required due to single-window concept
Only one protective window is installed at the light outlet in the ferro.lyte® spark spectrometer. This makes cleaning easier – with minimized susceptibility to errors. This allows even inexperienced users to clean the protective window safely and in a time-saving manner, keeping maintenance costs low.
Safety Lock: Secured in no time
Thanks to Safety Lock, unintentional triggering of the optical emission spectrometer is a thing of the past. The safety controller is located directly on the hand probe and can be operated immediately.

The quality requirements for workpieces are particularly high in mechanical engineering. Just like the efficiency pressure. What counts is timely and accurate metal identification that does not delay industrial processes. The analysis directly in the manufacturing process makes rapid further processing of bar stock, blanks, or semi-finished products made of metallic materials possible. The intuitive operation guarantees reliable metal analyses after a short instruction.
The materials of pipes, pipelines, or tanks in refineries and on oil rigs are exposed to high stresses due to temperature fluctuations, aggressive raw materials and chemical processes. Off- as well as on-shore also have to withstand seawater. Therefore, stringent specifications apply to metallic materials used. Duplex steels with defined nitrogen contents are mainly used. ferro.lyte® combines precise nitrogen determination with the greatest possible mobility in use.
Depending on the intended use, a wide range of metal alloys are used for tank and plant construction. Proof of correctly installed materials is therefore an important step in quality assurance. Welded structures are often used, and the composition of the steel plays a special role. The suitability for welding can be determined by means of the carbon equivalent. Using ferro.lyte®, material identification can be performed quickly and easily directly in the manufacturing process on site.
