Evaluation of a long-term analytical sequence for δ15N and δ13C isotope analysis by EA-IRMS

The coupling of elemental analysis (EA) with stable isotope ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) is an established technique for the analysis of bulk materials such as organics, soils and sediments, and inorganics.

This Technical Note presents the results of a long-term analytical sequence for δ15N and δ13C isotope analysis which consists of more than 1,100 individual analyses with minimal maintenance using our EA-IRMS solutions. The analysis of primary and secondary reference materials shows the long-term stability, precision, and accuracy of the system.
